Efficiency and Responsiveness

The 2025 LEAF is available in two trim levels, both of which offer impressive energy efficiency ratings and a responsive powertrain. The base S model is equipped with a 40kWh battery pack and an AC synchronous motor that pumps 147 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. The SV Plus trim, on the other hand, gets a 60kWh battery, with its powertrain generating 214 horsepower and 250 pounds of torque.

Besides its affordable price, one of the reasons that the Nissan LEAF is such an attractive model is its impressive energy efficiency. Base S models are rated at 123 MPGe in the city and 99 MPGe on the highway. SV Plus trims, on the other hand, offer 121 MPGe and 98 MPGe combined. All 2025 LEAF models are front-wheel drive only.

Space and Comfort

While the Nissan LEAF is a compact vehicle that is perfect for city driving, its interior is spacious, versatile, and packed with features that make it comfortable for everyone onboard. This all-electric hatchback provides 42.1 inches of legroom in the front seats, 33.5 in the second row, and 23.6 cubic feet of interior cargo volume. Additionally, both trim levels come standard with 60-40 foldable rear seat backs.

In terms of comfort and convenience, S models of the 2025 LEAF offer six-way driver-seat direction control, cabin preconditioning, a four-speaker audio system, speed-sensitive volume, and illuminated steering wheel-mounted audio controls. SV Plus models, on the other hand, come with heated driver and front passenger seats, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, power two-way driver lumbar support, and a six-speaker audio system.

Safety and Driver-Assist Technologies

Besides its class-leading efficiency, every 2025 LEAF is praised for its extensive array of built-in safety features and driver-assist technologies. This compact hatchback comes standard with a traction control system, vehicle dynamic control, cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, high beam assist, and lane departure warning.
