The 2025 Nissan Z is an iconic two-door sports coupe with a need for speed. Equipped with a twin-turbo V6 engine, the latest tech, and a retro silhouette with some modern touches, the new Nissan is sure to impress in any of its three trim levels.
Exploring the 2025 Nissan Z Trim Levels: Performance Tailored to You
Sport
The base trim, the Sport, is a cost-effective Nissan Z 2025 option with a lot of bang for its buck. Despite being the most affordable trim of the model, it’s still decked out with a 3-bay gauge cluster, push-button ignition, and high-performance LED headlights and taillights.
Technology-wise, the Z Sport features Apple CarPlay & Android Auto integration, a six-speaker auto system, and an 8-inch color touchscreen display. It’s also equipped with automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, and Intelligent Cruise Control. Between its entertainment system and safety features, the Sport trim is suitable for the average driver who wants their vehicle to offer a taste of sportiness.
Performance
Take your performance on the road up a notch with the Performance trim. When you upgrade to Performance, you trade two piston front/rear calipers for four front and two piston rear calipers, 18″ aluminum-alloy wheels for 19″ forged-alloy wheels, a six-speaker system for eight with a dual subwoofer system, an 8-inch touchscreen for a 9-inch, and cloth-lined seats for 4-way powered leather seats with heating. You also get active noise cancellation.
This trim upgrade will also give you power heated exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals, a mechanical clutch-type limited-slip differential, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a chin and rear spoiler, built-in Alexa, a Wi-Fi hotspot, plus other additional features. Ultimately, the Performance trim offers a great balance between day-to-day driving and high-performance driving with the benefit of extra technology and luxury.
NISMO
Things become even more impressive with the new Nissan Z’s highest trim level, the NISMO. The twin-turbo V6 engine gets an upgrade to a NISMO-tuned twin-turbo V6 engine, and you get a Sport+ driving mode plus extra chassis bracing. This trim also features a NISMO-specific aerodynamic exterior design affecting the side sills, front and rear fascias, and the rear spoiler.
Other distinct changes in the NISMO when upgrading from the Performance trim include NISMO-specific leather seats and steering wheel, wider wheels, and NISMO-tuned suspension. While the NISMO does lose a few features like heated 4-way powered seats and rear vented discs, the NISMO trim is designed with more horsepower and torque, faster shifting, and sharper handling, making it appeal to those who want the best sports performance possible.
